So, you have decided that you want to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft, on your own?
Fantastic, you came to the right place. We are a licensed student training drop zone, with vast amounts of experience among our AFF (Accelerated Free Fall course) Instructors, ensuring that you are in safe capable hands, every step of your journey.
AFF is the most modern form of skydive training focusing on personal one-on-one training. It takes a person from beginner to jumping on their own with the competence to handle emergency procedures, fall in the correct body position and to fly and land a parachute safely.
Duration: Approx 6-7 hours
During the ground school for your solo skydive training your course instructor will discuss some theory aspects of skydiving and then guide you through practical drills and exercises to prepare you for your jumps. The course instructor will have the sole responsibility and prerogative to assess your preparedness and readiness to begin skydiving.
After the briefing by your Tandem Master, you will slip into a jumpsuit and harness and be escorted to the aircraft. DO NOT leave your Tandem Master’s side and follow all directions they provide.
If you took one of the video packages we’ll do a quick interview with you before getting in the aircraft.
DO NOT leave your Tandem Master’s side. Your Tandem Master will give you clear instructions on where to sit in the aircraft, and you will enjoy a 15min scenic flight up to 11,000ft.
If you took one of the video packages the whole trip in the aircraft will be captured to share with friends and family.
This is what you have been waiting for. Once at 11,000ft the aircraft door will open and you will exit the aircraft attached to your Tandem Master.
You will enjoy a 40sec free-fall and reach speeds of approx 200kph. At 5,000ft your Tandem Master will open the parachute and begin a 5-10min scenic decent, giving you time to take in the beautiful views over the Vaal Dam.
If you took one of the video packages your skydive and time under the parachute will be captured to share with friends and family.
After safely landing back on the ground your harness will be removed and you will take a short walk back to the club house. You can then have a drink or something to eat while waiting for your Tandem Skydive Certificate.
If you took one of the video packages your video will be edited while you wait and supplied to you on a USB.
